Also the defender hasn’t seen what is behind him. The forward has, he has been looking back at the defender and has spotted all the players there, then after receiving the ball he turns and can now see the other opportunities he has. So he is adding to his knowledge about his surroundings

Some will have a wider anglel, as that players real life behaviour eg. turning head more
