Cool video about wiimote - have a look:
Yep, we finally figured out how the darn IR camera works. It's just a quick hack, but I've written a program to take the data from the Wiimote, filter it a bit, and emulate a mouse. It's actually quite a decent input device, although I recommend using big icons. I've demonstrated a few simple activities with it. Buttons on the Wiimote map to mouse buttons and scroll wheel. Of course, the sensor bar has to be on for this to work (make your own, as documented in many places, or just power yours off your Wii as I use here) I'm working on a full-blown Linux driver with support for every feature known, multiple clients, and a lot more (with no ugly hacks). See you soon with the next video! Update: Check wiibrew.org out for the actual technical information on how all this works!

your a fucking genius
@Mr8bitgamer yes and no
if u use the wii’s gy, gx, and gz (exelerometers)
and if you want the actual pointing … yes
u need to get a infra red sensor bar, im in the same position. does anyone kno where i can get a sensor bar from?
@Mr8bitgamer No but you do need a stationary IR light source. I sell just such an item on ebay for just $8.75 if you include the shipping and handling. Search for: IR pen replacement, Wii Stationary light Whiteboard. Enjoy.
thx man ^^
@henju0416 The answer to that quesiton is too long to fit into a YouTube response. Well maybe not… The Wii remote sends a report to the PC 200 times every second. If it detects an IR dot then the possition of that IR dot will be in the report. The report can be read and acted upon by a computer program. Awesome! 164 characters left.
@soulviper17 Try turing your computer off and on, plugging and unplugging the dongle. Vista and Windows 7 have much better built in support for bluetooth so you might upgrade your operating system or buy a new Bluetooth dongle. There are big difference in quality and how long they stay connected. I have had good luck with an IO Gear bluetooth dongle.
Can i have the script please = D
Do you need the SensorBar to move it?
Dude, this video was released before the wii.
