I am thinking of buying a classic xbox console....you know....to relive the classics 
But i also wanted to be able to play the newer games...e.g call of duty, gears of war etc.
So can anyone tell me if i will be able to play then on the original console?

No you cant. Original console games have never tested out a game on an xbox console, the controllers are different, and it just wouldnt work
No, what reason would there to come out with the Xbox 360, if you could just play the games on original Xbox systems?
its not possible because xbox 360 games play only on the 360.but your not out of luck because if you do get a 360 you can play some of the original xbox titles on it.
