I know that a modded xbox 360 can play downloaded games but can it also play original games, the games that they sell at game stop and stuff. thx

Yes, you can play Original Xbox Games. I play em sometimes but some games dont look on xbox.com to see which games are compatible but most games are.

Of course, if you have a modded Xbox 360, it can still play regular, un-burned Xbox 360 (a.k.a. retail) games. The only thing flashing your 360 does is making it able to also recognize your burned discs.
