If it’s a 60gb ntsc or 20gb ntsc, yes.
If it’s a 80gb Motorstorm or Solid Snake ntsc, or 60gb PAL, maybe.
If it’s any other ps3, hell no.
For the old 80 ntsc’s, and the 60 pal, there are sites with regularly updated lists of games that are known to work on them, and how well. You can find those lists on playstation.com too. About 4 out of 5 ps2 games work for them.
The 20 and 60 ntsc can play them all. Some people say 99 percent, so far my 60 has batted 1000.
