How to hook up your PSP system to your Television

Cool video about psp system - have a look:

**In the video i couldnt demonstrate the "dots", read stars below for more info** This is useing the PSP-3000 system and Sony Composite AV Cables. The only thing that wont work with a PSP-2000 system is the ability to play games on the tv. But everything else is fully functional. *****The dots/ Circles only happen to some television sets. It happens to very few tv's. I thought i could demonstrate it to you with mine, but it didnt work with mine this time. sorry.******

can these cords work with the slim, and where you get these cords?

PersiaTeddy95 July 13, 2010 at 4:14 pm

I bought it and it worked

Tazzi2010 July 13, 2010 at 5:09 pm

i personally dont think it matters. However if it has progressive scan i suggest turning it off anyway.

PersiaTeddy95 July 13, 2010 at 5:13 pm

and does the TV need to have progressive scan or not ? just a regular tv ?

Tazzi2010 July 13, 2010 at 5:28 pm

hmmmm, two things could b wrong. #1. wrong cable type. or #2. Defective cable.

erret3tg4ew5 July 13, 2010 at 5:39 pm

@rmunoz1994
i have the same problem, did you get an answer???

Tazzi2010 July 13, 2010 at 5:40 pm

look on the bottom, where the bar code is. It will either say 3001 (3000) or 2001 (2000)

IaNZwasNEVAhErE111 July 13, 2010 at 6:18 pm

how can you tell wich one is a 3 or 2000

lazychino2 July 13, 2010 at 6:41 pm

Tazzi2010 July 13, 2010 at 7:34 pm

God of War PSP edition is a PSP-2000. It may….im unsure.

gamerfreak48 July 13, 2010 at 7:36 pm

will it play games with the god of war psp edtion

Tazzi2010 July 13, 2010 at 7:41 pm

I thought i put it in the description, depending on which tv you have it could be:

Composite A/V Cord (the one im using)
Component A/V cord (for HD tv’s)

They are both the same price at walmart/ target/ kmart/ best buy etc;

($20.00)

Entobment July 13, 2010 at 7:45 pm

games work on it….
well for me they do, but uhh whats the name of this cord exactly?

Mrjustin1028 July 13, 2010 at 7:54 pm

this gut sounds ignorant

Mikez4 July 13, 2010 at 8:30 pm

I was thinking the same thing with my 3000, I used another new cable and it worked fine. Those cheap cables from Hong Kong on ebay are crap

rmunoz1994 July 13, 2010 at 8:30 pm

I have a psp 3000 and this av cable I did everything you said, but when i go to the switch video output thing, it says that i need to connect an av cable, even though it is already connected…do you know what could be wrong?

BattousaiTS July 13, 2010 at 9:29 pm
