I heard about all of these idiots trying to sell their playstation 3's on ebay for greatly inflated prices. Let me tell you just hearing about that really jerks my chain. Boy it gets the steam whistling out of my ears.

I would not pay anything! I don’t want one.
I wouldn’t spend anymore than the current going rate – $150 bucks. Even then, I would resale it.
For personal use, I wouldn’t pay more than retail.
I, myself, saw one go for $5000.
I wouldn’t buy anything from Sony. Their stuff is crap.
i spent $599 (60gb console) + $50 (Controller) + $60 x 2 (games).. and all before taxes.. $769.. after taxes.. around $830..
