I recently bought and xbox transfer kit, but they sent me the incorrect disc. So rather than paying fifteen dollars and waiting a month to get it from MS, i was thinking i could just torrent it. Would my xbox have to be modified to do this?

you should try it. xbox game disks are double layered, and cant be payed without a modified xbox, but since its an install disk, and not an actual game, you should give it a try, it could very well work
